The effects of acetic acid (2%) ionthophoresis on  calcium deposits of the shoulder

:Introduction
Shoulder pain is the second leading cause of musculoskeletal pain,it has been known after back pain and neck pain. shoulder pain is the common clinical cases that yet many causes has been proposed for it. mechanical factor are the most common causes of this problem
Calcium deposits in the shoulder is the reason that it has been written very little about it in the medical and rehabilitation research and articles. Physical therapy routine has not shown the useful response for treatment of this symptom, therefor we determined that we chose the medical protocol for calcium absorption and lessening the pain and discomfort arising it Therefor Iontophoresis aceticacid (2%) was added to the treatment plan of physical therapy routin
Method: 11 patients with shoulder pain with symptoms and signs of calcium deposits within the shoulder joint was confirmed by conventional radiographs were placed in a treatment program. Current mode (DC) is used for passing the acid ions by power stim machine a new model of 733 built Isfahan medical engineering company

Results: The result showed that the speed of calcium deposit absorption increased by using this method. Calcium deposit absorption had perceived in control graphs In this method the pain of patient decreased and also at the end of medical session, calcified deposits decreased and eliminated in conventional radiography Therefore, using this method in the process of physical therapy can be recommended for this problem
